How the Pearl 01 is built.
Most at-home IPL either hurts or barely works. The Pearl 01 does neither. Below is how it’s built, starting with the cold plate.
Built around the cold plate.
Heat is the reason people quit IPL, so the Pearl 01 is built to pull it away. An ice-cooling plate chills the flash window before the light ever reaches your skin. Every pulse lands on cooled skin, so you feel a brief warmth and little else.
The snowflake on the side display means the cold plate is working. Most people run their highest comfortable intensity with it on, for stronger light without the sting.

What happens in half a second.
A 36-watt lamp fires a broad pulse of light at 6–13 joules per square centimeter, enough to reach the root in a single pass.
An optical filter trims what skin doesn’t need, passing the 470–1200nm band, the wavelengths that travel to the pigment in the hair.
The pulse leaves through a 33 × 10 mm window ringed in rose gold, wide enough to cover a shin in passes, not pecks.
Light travels down the hair to the pigment at the root and warms it, interrupting the growth cycle, so regrowth comes back finer and slower.
Nine intensities. Three modes.
Nine levels let you climb from a first cautious pass to full strength as your skin gets used to it. Three modes (HR, SC, RA) cover different areas, and auto flash runs down legs and arms at a steady rhythm while single flashes handle jawline, underarms, and the edges.
A ready light tells you the next pulse is charged.

Built to last decades.
The lamp is rated for 999,999 flashes, enough for years of full-body sessions with no cartridges or refills to re-buy. One device, one adapter, nothing to replace. The last session costs what the first one did.
What changes, week by week.
Up to 96% less hair. Two or three sessions a week while the light is still reaching roots in their growth phase.
Regrowth thins further and comes back finer, softer, and patchier. Drop to one session a week.
Top-ups only. One session a month holds what you have. Results vary with hair color and treatment area.
